Jeremiah 13 (vv. 1-2)

Jeremiah receives the LORD’s strange instruction to buy a fine linen belt and wear it around his waist without washing it. The scene captures the beginning of the prophetic sign: a simple object becomes a symbol of how closely God intended Judah and Israel to be bound to Him. Jeremiah stands in obedience, aware that the command carries meaning beyond the ordinary.

예레미야는 고운 베띠를 사서 허리에 띠되 물에 적시지 말라는 여호와의 낯선 명령을 받는다. 이 장면은 예언적 표징의 시작을 보여 준다. 평범한 물건인 띠가 하나님께서 유다와 이스라엘을 자신에게 얼마나 밀접하게 묶어 두기를 원하셨는지를 상징하게 된다. 예레미야는 이 명령이 일상적인 행동을 넘어서는 의미를 지닌다는 것을 느끼며 순종 가운데 서 있다.
