Description

Amid fallen bricks and cut-down fig trees, leaders and citizens stand defiant, declaring that they will rebuild stronger with dressed stone and replace loss with cedar. Yet the atmosphere reveals their blindness: enemies gather from east and west, and the looming threat around the proud city shows that human self-confidence cannot withstand divine judgment.
