Isaiah 7 (vv. 17-20)

Isaiah warns that the Lord will summon Egypt and Assyria like swarming flies and bees, and that Assyria will become a hired razor shaving the land in humiliation. This scene turns from reassurance to judgment: the powers of the world are shown as instruments under divine command. Rather than depicting graphic violence, the image should use symbolism—dark swarms, ominous armies, and the razor metaphor—to convey the coming invasion and disgrace.

이사야는 주께서 애굽의 파리와 앗수르의 벌을 부르시듯 열방을 불러오실 것이며, 앗수르는 고용된 면도칼처럼 이 땅을 깎아 버릴 것이라고 경고한다. 이 장면은 위로에서 심판으로 전환된다. 세상의 강대국들이 사실은 하나님의 명령 아래 있는 도구임이 드러난다. 노골적인 폭력 대신, 검은 떼, 불길한 군대, 그리고 면도칼의 상징을 통해 다가오는 침략과 수치를 표현해야 한다.
