Isaiah 66 (vv. 3-4)

Isaiah presents a shocking reversal: outward sacrifices, though religious in appearance, are treated as detestable when offered by those who delight in evil. The scene captures the contradiction of ritual without repentance—animals and offerings arranged at an altar, while the worshipers’ hearts are far from God. The atmosphere should communicate that divine judgment falls not on ceremony itself but on hypocrisy and chosen abomination.
