Description
God declares that he will not remain silent but will repay the sins of the people and their ancestors. Yet in the midst of judgment appears a tender image of mercy: a cluster of grapes still containing juice, spared because blessing remains in it. The scene should hold both warning and hope, showing that a faithful remnant from Jacob and Judah will inherit the land.
