Isaiah 65 (vv. 1-2)

A striking contrast opens the chapter: God reveals himself to people who were not seeking him, while all day long he stretches out his hands toward a stubborn people who refuse to listen. The scene should show divine invitation and human resistance at once—unexpected outsiders receiving light, while the covenant people turn away down their own path.
