Isaiah 56 (vv. 10-12)

Israel's leaders are portrayed as useless watchmen and self-serving shepherds. Instead of guarding the people, they lounge in sleep, neglect their duty, and indulge themselves with wine and beer, blind to danger and consumed by greed while the night deepens around them.
