Isaiah 51 (vv. 17-23)

Jerusalem is portrayed as a woman who has staggered under the cup of wrath, exhausted and humiliated, with no child left to guide her. Around her lie the signs of devastation: empty streets, fallen children at the corners, famine, and sorrow. Then the turning point comes as a radiant heavenly presence removes the cup from her hand. In the distance, her tormentors, who once trampled her, are shown receiving the cup instead. The emphasis is on reversal, justice, and the end of her forced humiliation.

예루살렘은 진노의 잔을 마시고 비틀거리는 한 여인으로 묘사되며, 지쳐 있고 수치를 당했으며 그녀를 이끌 자식도 남아 있지 않다. 그녀의 주변에는 황폐함의 흔적이 놓여 있다. 텅 빈 거리, 길모퉁이에 쓰러진 자녀들, 기근과 슬픔이 가득하다. 그러나 전환점에서 찬란한 하늘의 임재가 그녀의 손에서 그 잔을 거두어 간다. 멀리서는 한때 그녀를 짓밟던 압제자들이 그 잔을 받는 모습이 보인다. 이 장면의 핵심은 뒤바뀜, 정의, 그리고 강요된 수치의 종결이다.
