Description
The LORD promises to answer, help, and preserve his servant, making him a covenant for the people and an agent of restoration. Captives are called out of prison and darkness into freedom. A great return begins: people travel safely through barren places, feeding beside the roads, finding pasture on desolate hills, and being led beside springs of water under the LORD’s compassion. Mountains become roads, highways are raised, and scattered exiles come from far regions as heaven and earth rejoice.
