Description
The prophet exposes the absurdity of idolatry by showing people crafting the very god they later worship. Wealthy patrons pour out gold and weigh silver, while a goldsmith carefully shapes an idol in his workshop. Once finished, the image is lifted onto shoulders and set in place, where it stands motionless and silent, unable to answer the cry of those kneeling before it.
