Description
In the final scene, the LORD convenes a courtroom challenge against the idols. The false gods are set forth as defendants, mute and powerless, unable to explain the past or announce the future. In contrast, the LORD declares the rise of the one from the north and from the rising sun, proving his rule over history. Zion receives a messenger of good news, while the idols stand empty and silent, their images exposed as wind and confusion. The scene climaxes in the utter collapse of false worship before divine truth.
