Description
A parched wilderness becomes the stage for divine compassion and new creation. The poor and needy search desperately for water, their faces marked by thirst and exhaustion, but the LORD answers by causing rivers to flow on barren heights and springs to open in valleys. The desert is transformed into pools, and trees of many kinds suddenly flourish where only wasteland stood before. The scene is both literal and symbolic: God not only sustains life but publicly demonstrates that his hand alone can create abundance from desolation.
