Isaiah 4 (vv. 2-4)

After the darkness of judgment, the scene shifts to hope and renewal. The Branch of the LORD is presented not as a literal portrait of God, but through the beauty of renewed life in the land and the dignity of a purified remnant standing in Zion. Survivors in Jerusalem are marked as holy, while the city itself is symbolically cleansed by the LORD through judgment and fire. The image should hold together both purification and promise: a once-defiled city now touched by sacred restoration.

심판의 어둠 이후 장면은 소망과 회복으로 전환된다. 여호와의 가지는 하나님의 직접적인 형상이 아니라, 땅에 새롭게 돋아나는 아름다운 생명과 시온에 서 있는 정결한 남은 자들의 존귀함을 통해 드러난다. 예루살렘의 생존자들은 거룩한 자로 불리고, 도성은 심판과 불을 통해 상징적으로 정결케 된다. 이 장면은 정화와 약속을 함께 담아야 한다. 한때 더럽혀졌던 성읍이 이제 거룩한 회복의 손길을 입는 모습이다.
