Isaiah 33 (vv. 1)

The chapter opens with a prophetic woe against the destroyer and betrayer. The scene captures a proud conqueror at the height of his power, surrounded by spoils and signs of conquest, yet overshadowed by the certainty that his violence will return upon him. The image should convey reversal: the one who devastated others now stands under looming judgment.
