Description
After affliction, God’s compassion opens a new future for Zion. The people hear the guiding voice behind them, reject their silver- and gold-covered idols, and cast them away in disgust. The scene expands into restoration: rain falls on fields, streams run on the heights, cattle graze in broad meadows, and the whole land glows with extraordinary light, showing healing, instruction, purity, and abundance flowing from renewed relationship with the LORD.
