Isaiah 3 (vv. 25-26)

The chapter ends with loss and desolation. The men and warriors of the city have fallen, and the gates of Zion themselves seem to mourn. Personified as a bereaved woman, Zion sits on the ground in destitution outside or beside the city gate, surrounded by silence, emptiness, and the aftermath of judgment. The image should be elegiac and still, capturing national grief without graphic battle imagery.

이 장은 상실과 황폐함으로 끝난다. 성읍의 남자들과 용사들은 쓰러졌고, 시온의 성문들마저 애통하는 듯하다. 시온은 남편을 잃은 여인처럼 의인화되어 성문 곁이나 그 앞 땅바닥에 초라하게 앉아 있다. 그녀의 주변에는 침묵과 공허함, 심판의 여파만이 남아 있다. 이 장면은 전쟁의 잔혹한 묘사 없이도 민족적 슬픔을 애가처럼 고요하게 담아내야 한다.
