Isaiah 3 (vv. 8-15)

Jerusalem staggers under the weight of its rebellion, and the LORD rises like a divine judge to bring charges against the elders and leaders. The accusation is clear: they have ruined the vineyard, stored plunder from the poor in their houses, and crushed the vulnerable. The image should contrast human corruption with the overwhelming holiness of divine justice, showing leaders exposed and the poor vindicated under heaven’s witness.
