Isaiah 27 (vv. 2-6)

The tone shifts from judgment to tender care. A fruitful vineyard spreads across a sunlit hillside, heavy with ripe clusters of grapes. The LORD’s presence is suggested by soft divine light, fresh water flowing among the vines, and a sense of vigilant peace over the land. At the edge of the vineyard, dry briers and thorns hint at threats that could be burned away, while the flourishing vines symbolize Jacob taking root and Israel blossoming to fill the world with fruit.

심판의 장면에서 부드러운 돌봄의 장면으로 분위기가 바뀐다. 햇살 비치는 언덕에 열매가 풍성한 포도원이 펼쳐지고, 포도송이들이 무겁게 익어 있다. 여호와의 임재는 부드러운 신적 빛과 포도나무 사이로 흐르는 맑은 물, 그리고 땅을 감도는 깨어 있는 평화로 암시된다. 포도원 가장자리에는 불태워질 수 있는 마른 가시덤불과 찔레가 위협처럼 보이지만, 무성한 포도나무는 야곱이 뿌리내리고 이스라엘이 꽃피어 온 세상에 열매를 맺게 될 것을 상징한다.
