Description
As the LORD rises to shake the earth, people flee in terror to caves, rocky clefts, and holes in the ground. In panic and shame, they throw away their silver and gold idols to the darkness, abandoning the false gods they once treasured. The final image is one of human frailty exposed: all pride, wealth, and trust in mere mortals vanish before the fearful splendor of the LORD’s majesty.
