Description
Isaiah’s opening vision shows the mountain of the LORD rising above all other hills, crowned by the temple in Jerusalem. From many directions, diverse nations and peoples ascend toward it in peaceful procession, drawn not by conquest but by a desire to learn the ways of the God of Jacob. The scene is filled with movement, reverence, and expectancy as the word of the LORD goes out from Zion to the whole earth.
