Description
The prophecy turns from judgment to hope as cities in Egypt speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the LORD. An altar rises in the heart of Egypt, and a monument stands at its border as signs of worship. In the climactic vision, a great highway links Egypt and Assyria, and together with Israel they stand under the blessing of the LORD as reconciled peoples.
