Hosea 8 (vv. 1-3)

A watchman sounds an urgent trumpet alarm over the land as a great eagle sweeps above the house of the LORD, symbolizing imminent judgment. Below, the people cry out that they know God, yet their claim is exposed as hollow because they have rejected what is good and are about to be pursued by an enemy.
