Hosea 12 (vv. 9-11)

This scene gathers several prophetic images into one powerful composition. The LORD reminds Israel that He brought them out of Egypt and can make them dwell in tents again, like in the days of sacred festivals. Prophets stand receiving visions and speaking parables, while in the distance the altars of Gilgal and wicked Gilead are shown as doomed—soon to become mere heaps of stones in a plowed field. The image joins memory, revelation, and judgment: God’s past faithfulness, His repeated warnings, and the coming collapse of false worship.
