Hebrews 1 (vv. 10-14)

This final scene combines the Son’s role as creator, his unchanging eternity, his session at the right hand, and the service of angels. The image shows the foundations of the earth and the heavens as the work of his hands, with the cosmos spread out like a garment. At the same time, creation appears fragile and temporary, as if aging fabric ready to be folded away, while the Son remains steady, unchanged, and enthroned. His enemies are not shown graphically but symbolically subdued beneath the imagery of a footstool, and angels move outward from the throne as ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation. The scene should feel vast, cosmic, and triumphant, yet also deeply reassuring.

이 마지막 장면은 아들의 창조주 되심, 변함없는 영원성, 하나님의 오른편에 앉으심, 그리고 천사들의 섬김을 함께 담아낸다. 화면에는 땅의 기초와 하늘이 그의 손의 작품으로 펼쳐지며, 우주가 마치 옷처럼 펼쳐진 모습이 보인다. 동시에 피조 세계는 접혀 사라질 낡은 옷감처럼 연약하고 일시적으로 보이지만, 아들은 변함없이 굳게 계시며 보좌에 앉아 있다. 그의 원수들은 직접적이고 폭력적으로 묘사되지 않고, 발판의 상징 아래 굴복된 존재로 암시된다. 또한 천사들은 보좌로부터 바깥을 향해 나아가며 구원을 상속받을 자들을 섬기도록 보내심을 받는 사역하는 영들로 표현된다. 이 장면은 광대하고 우주적이며 승리감이 있으면서도, 동시에 깊은 위로를 주어야 한다.
