Description
Back in Canaan, the brothers recount everything to Jacob: the harsh ruler's demands, Simeon's imprisonment, and the requirement that Benjamin must come to Egypt. As they empty their sacks, each man finds his silver returned, increasing the household's fear. Jacob laments that Joseph is gone, Simeon is gone, and now Benjamin is demanded too; despite Reuben's desperate pledge, Jacob refuses to let Benjamin go, fearing that sorrow will destroy him.
