Description
Morning comes, and Pharaoh’s spirit is deeply disturbed. His magicians and wise men stand helpless in the royal court, unable to explain the dreams. Then the chief cupbearer remembers Joseph, the young Hebrew prisoner who once interpreted dreams in confinement. Joseph is hurried from the dungeon, shaved, washed, and clothed anew, and he enters Pharaoh’s presence with calm humility, declaring that the answer will come not from himself but from God.

아침이 되자 바로의 마음은 크게 흔들린다. 궁정에 모인 술사들과 지혜자들은 꿈을 설명하지 못한 채 무력하게 서 있다. 그때 술 맡은 관원장이 감옥에서 꿈을 해석해 주었던 젊은 히브리인 요셉을 떠올린다. 요셉은 급히 옥에서 불려 나와 수염을 깎고 몸을 씻고 새 옷으로 갈아입은 뒤, 차분하고 겸손한 모습으로 바로 앞에 선다. 그리고 해답은 자신에게서가 아니라 하나님께로부터 온다고 고백한다.
