Description
The chief cupbearer recounts his dream of a vine with three branches that bud, blossom, and ripen into grapes. Holding Pharaoh’s cup, he squeezes the grapes into it and places the cup into Pharaoh’s hand. Joseph interprets the dream as a promise that within three days the cupbearer will be restored, then pleads with him to remember him and speak to Pharaoh on his behalf.
