Description
Overwhelmed by his punishment, Cain fears that he will be killed as a wanderer, yet the LORD places a protective mark on him and declares that vengeance will fall on anyone who kills him. Cain then departs from the presence of the LORD to the land of Nod, where his line begins and he builds a city named for his son Enoch.
