Genesis 28 (vv. 1-5)

Isaac calls Jacob before him, blesses him, and gives him solemn instructions not to marry a Canaanite woman. He sends Jacob toward Paddan Aram to the household of Bethuel and Laban, invoking the blessing of God Almighty, fruitfulness, many descendants, and the inheritance promised to Abraham.
