Genesis 27 (vv. 5-17)

While Esau leaves to hunt, Rebekah, who has overheard Isaac’s words, quickly calls Jacob and lays out her plan. She sends him to fetch two young goats, prepares a meal to imitate Esau’s dish, dresses Jacob in Esau’s finest garments, and covers his smooth hands and neck with goatskins. The scene is charged with urgency, maternal determination, and the dangerous crossing from strategy into deception.
