Description
Abimelek comes to Isaac with his adviser and commander, acknowledging that the LORD is clearly with Isaac and seeking a sworn agreement of peace. Isaac receives them, prepares a feast, and the next morning they swear an oath and part peacefully. On that same day, Isaac’s servants report that they have found water, and Isaac names the well Shibah, linking covenant peace with divine provision and giving lasting identity to Beersheba.
