Genesis 19 (vv. 12-16)

The two messengers reveal that the city is about to be destroyed and command Lot to gather anyone who belongs to him. Lot warns his future sons-in-law, but they treat his words as a joke. At dawn, as judgment draws near, the angels urgently tell Lot to flee with his wife and two daughters. When he hesitates, they seize the hands of the family and lead them out of the city, showing that their rescue depends not on their strength but on divine mercy.
