Genesis 18 (vv. 22-25)

After the others turn toward Sodom, Abraham remains standing before the LORD. He draws near and begins his bold appeal: will the righteous be swept away with the wicked? In humility yet moral courage, Abraham pleads for justice, appealing to the character of the Judge of all the earth. The scene is visually powerful because it portrays one man standing in reverent boldness before divine holiness.
