Description
After Lot departs, the LORD speaks to Abram and tells him to look in every direction, promising all the land to him and his descendants forever. Abram is assured that his offspring will be as countless as the dust of the earth and is told to walk through the land as a sign of possession. He then settles by the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, pitches his tents, and builds another altar to the LORD in grateful faith.
