Genesis 11 (vv. 27-32)

After the genealogy narrows the story to Terah’s household, the family departs from Ur of the Chaldeans with Abram, Sarai, and Lot, beginning a significant journey toward Canaan before settling in Harran. The scene should carry both grief and promise: Haran’s death lies in the family’s past, Sarai’s barrenness shadows the future, yet the caravan moves forward into an uncertain destiny.

족보가 데라의 집안으로 좁혀진 뒤, 데라는 아브람과 사래와 롯을 데리고 갈대아 우르를 떠나 가나안을 향해 길을 나서고, 결국 하란에 머문다. 이 장면은 슬픔과 약속을 함께 담아야 한다. 하란의 죽음은 가족의 과거에 남아 있고, 사래의 불임은 미래를 어둡게 하지만, 그럼에도 이 행렬은 알 수 없는 운명을 향해 앞으로 나아간다.
