Galatians 3 (vv. 23-29)

The final movement shows the law as a temporary guardian until faith in Christ is revealed. Now believers are no longer under that guardian but are children of God through faith, clothed with Christ in baptism. The image reaches its climax in a unified community of Jew and Gentile, slave and free, male and female, standing together as one family and heirs of Abraham’s promise.

마지막 부분은 율법이 믿음이 드러나기 전까지 임시적인 보호자였음을 보여 준다. 이제 믿는 자들은 더 이상 그 보호자 아래 있지 않고, 믿음으로 하나님의 자녀가 되었으며, 세례를 통해 그리스도로 옷 입었다. 이 장면은 유대인과 이방인, 종과 자유인, 남자와 여자가 한 가족으로 함께 서서 아브라함의 약속을 이을 상속자가 되는 절정의 모습을 담아낸다.
