Galatians 2 (vv. 11-13)

In Antioch, Cephas had been eating freely with Gentile believers, sharing one table in the new unity of Christ. But when certain men arrive from James, fear overtakes him, and he begins to withdraw and separate himself. His retreat influences the other Jewish believers, and even Barnabas is carried along, turning a joyful shared meal into a painful picture of division, hypocrisy, and social pressure.
