Ezra 3 (vv. 7-9)

Resources are gathered for the temple project: masons and carpenters are paid, and provisions are sent to Sidon and Tyre so cedar logs can be brought by sea from Lebanon to Joppa under Persian authorization. In Jerusalem, Levites twenty years old and older are appointed to supervise the work, marking the organized beginning of rebuilding.
