Because the land is full of bloodshed and the city full of violence, chains are prepared and the most wicked of nations are summoned to possess the houses of the proud. The strength and pride of the mighty collapse, and even sanctuaries are desecrated. This scene should show the moral cause of judgment and the humiliating reversal of power.
