Description
The LORD gives regulations for purifying and dedicating the altar through a sequence of offerings over several days. Priests of the line of Zadok minister before the altar, applying blood to its horns and corners, burning the offering in the appointed place, and presenting unblemished animals with salt. The scene culminates in the promise that, after the days of atonement and cleansing, the people's offerings will be accepted.
