Ezekiel 34 (vv. 1-6)

Ezekiel receives a severe word of judgment against Israel's shepherds. Instead of caring for the flock, these leaders enrich themselves with the sheep's milk, wool, and fat while the weak remain untreated, the injured unbound, and the lost unsearched for. The flock is left exposed, scattered over mountains and hills, vulnerable and abandoned because there is no true shepherd.

에스겔은 이스라엘의 목자들을 향한 엄중한 심판의 말씀을 받는다. 이 지도자들은 양 떼를 돌보지 않고 오히려 젖과 털과 기름으로 자신들만 배불리며, 약한 자는 강하게 하지 않고 병든 자는 고치지 않으며 상한 자는 싸매지 않고 잃은 자는 찾지 않는다. 그 결과 양 떼는 참된 목자 없이 산과 언덕에 흩어져 들짐승의 위협 앞에 버려진 채 방치된다.
