Ezekiel 33 (vv. 2-5)

A watchman stands high on a city wall after being chosen by the people to guard the land. In the distance he sees danger approaching and urgently blows a ram's horn trumpet to warn the inhabitants below. Some people look up in alarm while others continue with daily life, capturing the tension between warning given and warning ignored.

백성이 그 땅을 지키도록 세운 한 파수꾼이 성벽 높은 곳에 서 있다. 그는 멀리서 다가오는 위험을 보고 급히 숫양 뿔 나팔을 불어 아래 있는 주민들에게 경고한다. 어떤 사람들은 놀라며 위를 올려다보지만, 다른 이들은 일상을 계속하며, 주어진 경고와 무시된 경고 사이의 긴장을 보여 준다.
