In the realm of the dead, Egypt finds itself surrounded by other once-terrifying nations: Assyria, Elam, Meshek, Tubal, Edom, the princes of the north, and the Sidonians. Their graves encircle them in the depths, and Pharaoh sees that he is not unique in his downfall. The final image is one of stripped glory and bitter consolation: the tyrant lies among all the dead empires that once spread terror in the land of the living.
