Ezekiel 31 (vv. 15-17)

On the day the cedar is brought down to the realm of the dead, creation itself enters mourning. The deep springs are covered, streams are restrained, Lebanon is clothed in gloom, and the trees of the field wither. The nations tremble at the sound of its fall, while in the depths below the other trees of Eden receive it among those who have already descended to the pit.

그 백향목이 죽은 자들의 세계로 내려가는 날, 창조 세계 자체가 애도에 들어간다. 깊은 샘들은 덮이고 시내는 멈추며, 레바논은 어둠을 입고 들의 나무들은 시들어 버린다. 나라들은 그 무너지는 소리에 떨고, 아래 깊은 곳에서는 이미 구덩이로 내려간 에덴의 다른 나무들이 그것을 맞이한다.
