Description
Because the great cedar exalted itself in pride, the Sovereign Lord gives it over to the ruler of nations. Ruthless foreign peoples cut it down, and its branches fall across mountains, valleys, and ravines. The nations that once lived safely in its shade depart, while birds and wild animals now occupy the wreckage, turning former glory into a warning against arrogance.
