Ezekiel 3 (vv. 1-3)

Ezekiel receives a strange and sacred command: he is told to eat the scroll placed before him. In obedience he opens his mouth, takes in the scroll, and discovers that what seems severe is sweet as honey. The moment visualizes the prophet internalizing God's word before he can speak it to others.

에스겔은 기이하면서도 거룩한 명령을 받는다. 그의 앞에 놓인 두루마리를 먹으라는 것이다. 그는 순종하여 입을 벌리고 두루마리를 받아 먹으며, 엄중해 보이는 하나님의 말씀이 그의 입에는 꿀처럼 달다는 것을 경험한다. 이 장면은 선지자가 다른 이들에게 말씀을 전하기 전에 먼저 그 말씀을 자기 안에 받아들이는 모습을 보여 준다.
