Ezekiel 26 (vv. 1-3)

The prophecy opens with Tyre’s proud reaction to Jerusalem’s ruin. The wealthy port city sees opportunity where another city has fallen, boasting that the broken gate of the nations will now bring profit to her. In response, the Sovereign Lord declares opposition to Tyre, comparing the coming nations to relentless waves of the sea.
