Ezekiel 25 (vv. 1-7)

The prophet Ezekiel stands in solemn obedience as the word of the LORD comes to him against the Ammonites. The scene captures both the insult of Ammon’s mocking joy over Jerusalem’s desecration and the coming judgment announced by God. Ezekiel is set apart as a messenger, his face turned toward the eastern lands, while the atmosphere suggests that divine justice is already moving toward a proud and hostile nation.
