Ezekiel 22 (vv. 1-5)

Ezekiel is commanded to confront Jerusalem as a city polluted by bloodshed and idolatry. The city stands under a dark prophetic sentence: its violence has brought its own doom near, and it will become an object of scorn and mockery among surrounding nations. The scene should capture both the moral corruption within the city and the looming certainty of divine judgment over it.
