Description
The chapter closes with a powerful contrast. God promises that on his holy mountain the restored people will worship him acceptably, remember their sins, and know him as the LORD. Yet immediately the prophet is told to set his face toward the south and announce a fire that will consume the forest, green and dry alike, as a sign of inevitable judgment. Restoration and warning stand side by side.
